Unperturbed by growing pressure from netizens and civil society, Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said the police will continue to investigate all cases related to the Bersih 2.0 rally and this will be followed by prosecution.

Although last Saturday's police operations have ended, he said investigations against Bersih 2.0 would not stop.

"Issues raised before this will continue to be addressed, including the discovery of weapons, incidents related to bank accounts as well as certain groups. Don't think that we will not continue our investigation."

Certain evidence has been submitted to the Attorney-General's (AG) Chambers for further action, Hishammuddin added at a press conference at Bukit Aman federal police headquarters todayNONE.

"Of those who were arrested, the AG's Chambers is currently studying the seriousness of their offences to determine whether to charge them or not," he said, adding that this included Bersih 2.0 chairperson Ambiga Sreenevasan (right), who was arrested during the rally.

"But an issue like this takes time because we want justice to be done. We don't want to victimise anyone, including Anwar Ibrahim," he added.

Hishammuddin then went on to deride the opposition leader over his alleged injury suffered during the rally.

"Who has been in and out of the hospital? Who is still wearing his collar brace that he had worn in the past?

"This is not something new by him. Last time, he accused us of poisoning him in jail, the fled to the Turkish Embassy for fear of his safety, his car breakdown was said to be tampered with..."

On the six Parti Sosialis Malaysia activists detained under Emergency Ordinance, Hishammuddin said investigations were still going on.

"This is a subversive issue. It may have something to do with Bersih, but that is not the main requirement and the only ingredient that we are looking at is that particular group of people."

Asked whether wearing the Bersih 2.0 T-shirt is still an offence, Hishammuddin evaded the question, saying he has moved to other issues.
