Voters will be able to check the voting locations of their entire household members through the Election Commission's (EC) website soon.

EC secretary Kamaruddin Mohamed Baria said the facility was being provided in conjunction with the 2011 Voter Registration Review Campaign, which will be launched at the EC's head office in Putrajaya on Thursday.

"The application of the system is to provide the facility for voters who live in the same house or registered using the same address to check the locality or district respectively in the EC website.

"A scan will show whether all of them are placed in the same locality or not," Kamaruddin said in a statement issued in Kuala Lumpur.

Through the system, the user can inform the EC of any mistakes through the commission's complaint system.

"The usage of the locality checking system for the entire household could assist the EC in correcting and cleaning up information of voters.

"However, the usage of the system is only limited to scrutinising the family members or household members with their MyKad numbers only," he added.
