DPM to have day-long programme in KL tomorrow

Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin will visit several areas in the federal capital tomorrow in conjunction with his programme to meet residents of the Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory.

According to the itinerary issued by the Deputy Prime Minister's Office, Muhyiddin has a tight schedule tomorrow where he will attend the 1Malaysia breakfast with NGO representatives in the Batu parliamentary constituency at the Taman Bullion Mewah, beside the office of the Batu Umno division.
Later, he will go on a walkabout at Kampung Pindah, Kampung Baru and attend a meeting with the constituents at the Jalan Tun Razak Flats, Kampung Baru at 10am.
The taxi drivers in Kuala Lumpur are also not left out of the programme as Muhyiddin will meet them at 11.50am at the Matahari restaurant, next to the Kampung Baru Petronas fuel pump.
At 12.30pm, Muhyiddin will rush to Pusat Islam to attend the 'Simposium Manhaj Bandar' together with the chairmen of all the mosque and surau committees throughout Kuala Lumpur, followed by the Zohor prayer at the National Mosque.
He will later proceed to the Dang Wangi District Police Headquarters to attend a meeting with police personnel at 2.10pm.
About 40 minutes later, the Deputy Prime Minister will go on a walkabout around Jalan Masjid India to meet with Malay and Indian traders, hawkers and shopkeepers as well as the Malaysian Indian Muslim Congress (KIMMA).
Muhyiddin will later proceed to the open space beside the Lembah Pantai Community Centre to meet residents in Lembah Pantai at 4pm.
The programme concludes with the Deputy Prime Minister opening the 14th Malaysia Games (Sukma) Kuala Lumpur 2011 at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium, Bandar Tun Razak, Cheras at 8.30pm.
Previously, Muhyiddin had gone on similar programmes in Pahang, Perlis and Selangor.
