Six people take their oath of office as senators today before Dewan Negara speaker Abu Zahar Ujang.
Six people take their oath of office as senators today before Dewan Negara speaker Abu Zahar Ujang.
They are Indian Muslim Congress Malaysia (Kimma) president Syed Ibrahim Kader, 57, Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) deputy president Chin Su Phin, 53, Saiful Izham Ramli, 41, Yunus Kurus, 63, and Norliza Abdul Rahim, 42.
Their appointment is for a three-year term.
The other, Kedah PAS liaison secretary Muhamad Yusof Husin, 57, has been re-appointed for a second term.
Saiful Izham , a law graduate from Sheffield Hallam University UK is the Merbok PKR division leader, while Yunus is the acting Labuan Umno division leader.
Norliza is the Wanita Umno higher education bureau chairperson.
