I was really disappointed recently to hear Prime Minister Najib and Chua Soi Lek threaten the Chinese community on the issue of Chinese representation in the government.

BN keeps missing the point.
  • The modern Malaysian no longer wants politics based on race or religion.
  • The modern Malaysian doesn't want Malay politicians fighting for the rights of Malays.
  • The modern Malaysian doesn't want Indian politicians fighting for the rights of Indians.
  • The modern Malaysian doesn't want Chinese politicians fighting for the rights of Chinese.
  • The modern Malaysian doesn't want politicians fighting only for Muslims, or only for Christians, or only for Hindus.
  • What the modern Malaysian wants is Malaysian politicians who fight for the rights of all Malaysians, regardless of race or religion.
What happened to 1Malaysia, Najib?

To sum up, it comes down to this. Malaysians today are faced with two possible futures:

1. Continue to support BN and go down the path of apartheid-based governance, where race and religion is always the deciding factor in every policy decision;
 
or

2. Support Pakatan Rakyat, which despite all their weaknesses and failings, are fighting for a future where Malaysian politicians create policies that benefit all Malaysians.

I am a modern Malaysian and I know what kind of future I will be voting for at the next general election.
