An officer from the federal police headquarters at Bukit Aman in Kuala Lumpur will record a statement from PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim tomorrow over the sex video screened last month at the Carcosa Seri Negara Hotel.

NONEThis will be the second time Anwar will give a statement on the matter.

Anwar had his statement first recorded last month when he lodged a report with the police after the video, depicting a man having illicit sex, was screened at the luxury hotel on March 21.

According to a statement issued by the party this afternoon, the recording of the statement will be done by one ‘DSP Shanmugamoorthy’ at 2.30pm at the PKR headquarters in Tropicana, Petaling Jaya.

A press conference will be held by Anwar after his statement is recorded, said the statement.

Soon after the video was shown to selected journalists and editors from the mainstream and alternative media, a trio consisting of businessman Shazryl Eskay Abdullah, Risda chairperson Rahim Thamby Chik and former Perkasa treasurer Shuib Lazim owned up to being behind the screening.

The 22-minute video shows a man who resembles Anwar having  intercourse with a sex worker. Anwar, however, has denied being the man in the video.

NONEAdamant that the man is indeed Anwar, however, Eskay said he has given as proof the Omega-brand watch which the latter claimed Anwar had left after his tryst in the hotel room.

Eskay today said he had given his DNA sample to the police to assist investigations.

On April 4, yet unidentified parties uploaded onto popular video-sharing website YouTube a 1.47-minute segment of the sex clip showing a man before the sex session with a sex worker.

In a dramatic development, a second segment - also about 1.47-minutes long - was uploaded onto YouTube today depicting the man putting on his clothes.
