Raja Petra Kamaruddin (RPK) is being investigated under Section 203 of the Penal Code for allegedly giving false information in connection with his statutory declaration linking Prime Minister Najib Razak and his wife, Rosmah Mansor, to the murder of Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibu four years ago.

This follows a statement taken from the blogger in Bangkok, Thailand, two days ago, Federal CID director Mohd Bakri Mohd Zinin said.

Bakri (left) said police were actively probing the case based on Raja Petra's statement as well as those provided by several other individuals linked to the case.

However, he declined to reveal the names of those who had been called up by the police.

"The question of who and how many people have been called up is not important. Our focus now is to investigate his (Raja Petra's) allegations," he added.

In an interview with TV3 aired on April 13 and 14, Raja Petra revealed that his 2008 statutory declaration linking Najib, then deputy prime minister, and Rosmah with Altantuya's murder was based on information and demand by several individuals aimed at preventing Najib from becoming prime minister.
