PAS is fielding two women out of the five candidates selected to represent the party in the Sarawak state election on April 16.

A spokesperson for the Sarawak PAS Liaison Body told Bernama that Nani Sahori would be fielded in the Tanjung Datu state constituency while Noraini Hamzah would stand in Muara Tuang.

Incumbent Adenan Satem, from the Barisan Nasional, will defend his Tanjung Datu seat while incumbent Assemblyman Mohamad Ali Mahmud would defend his Muara Tuang seat for the BN.

The three other PAS candidates are Abang Eddy Allyanny who will stand in Sadong Jaya, Sarawak PAS commissioner Adam Ahid in Sebuyau and Abang Ahmad Kerdee Abang Masadus in Beting Maro.

The three areas were won by the BN through Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) in the last state election.

PAS only stood in one constituency, Beting Maro, in 2006 but lost.

Nomination day for the Sarawak state election is tomorrow.
