vox populi small thumbnail'His failure to stress on rampant corruption by Taib Mahmud will serve as clear evidence of his deliberate attempts to cover up his own alleged misuse of power.'

No apologies for NEP, but it partly failed: Daim

Chritopher Loi: "The British policy of divide-and-rule had caused severe income and ethnic disparity which needed to be addressed through social engineering that was the New Economic Policy," said Daim Zainuddin.

The NEP is about doing the same - to rule, divide, conquer, and make money for themselves and continue to milk the country dry without really helping their own except making them believe that they are being helped.

WangMalaysia: "Additionally, he said, none of the top 10 companies in Bursa Malaysia are owned by the bumiputera."

The cat is out of the bag. GLCs (government-linked companies) do not count as owned by bumiputera.

Daim is also dropping a huge pile of crap when he said, "Some of the NEP exist elsewhere, in the United States it is called affirmative action... to assist the low-income group, the alleviation of poverty, to reduce regional imbalances. There is nothing wrong with eradicating poverty and reducing disparity."

Is he saying that US' form of NEP is not as noble as Malaysia's NEP, which enriches only a group of people regardless if they are poor or filthy rich?

Sarawakian: Who dares to say NEP is a failure? It is hugely successful in enriching the Umnoputras. Isn't that

the main aim of NEP? As for the ordinary Malay, sorry lah.

Alan Goh: Whether it is the old model bastardised NEP or the ‘celup' NEM, it is the same under the corrupt Umno.

Any idiot can be a millionaire if given a piece of prime land in Taman Maluri, Cheras to develop. Any fool can also be a millionaire if given the post of finance minister under the corrupt doctor in the house. You are small in stature but huge in appetite for money, acquired through proxies.

Anonymous_3f5f: Daim Zainuddin, can you reveal and also swear on the Quran how much you are worth?

Daim expects opposition to win more seats in S'wak

Ponto: Daim's predictions on the political results and analysis on environmental concerns may have brought him some measures of recognition. But behind this scenario belies a well-schemed and concerted agenda involving the present crop of Umno leaders and his ex-boss, Mahathir Mohamad, to demonise and bring down Anwar Ibrahim at all costs.

For a man who is known to religiously shun publicity due to his shrouded cooperate dealings and exacerbated by accusations of cronyism and corruption during his finance ministership, the timing of his emergence into the national spotlight to lend support to Umno/BN is proof that the opposition is posing a formidable threat, with the potential to deny BN the two-thirds majority in the imminent Sarawak state election.

For Daim's part, his failure to stress on rampant corruption by Abdul Taib Mahmud will serve as clear evidence of his deliberate attempts to cover up his own alleged misuse of power and corruption during his tenure as finance minister.

Peter Alau: Daim is being realistic... he knows pretty well that Snap is making a major comeback with the wholehearted support of the Dayaks and DAP will make big gains with the support of the Chinese. PKR will be wiped out.

Nwo: Daim's deepest concerns about plundered rainforest while Taib said 70 percent of Sarawak's virgin rainforest remains intact. LOL (laugh out loud). Nobody in their right mind believe in your rubbish nonsense anymore.

'Defaced' Bible collected from Port Klang

Louis: Distribute the bibles to every church in Malaysia. Then direct the churches to showcase it with the caption, ‘The Defaced Bible - The byproduct of BN government'.

In fact, the bibles need not be given free of charge. I am willing to buy a copy for my church and have it displayed prominently for all to see and be reminded of the 'good' work BN government had done.

PATRIOT: The defaced al-Kitab is now a collector's item and we should sell to churches and individuals to raise funds. It should remain on display in the church lobby as a reminder of how the BN government bullied the churches and classified the Al-Kitab to be a publication 'detriment to national security" What an insult.

Who Kill TBH Fund: If I read Quran, am I a Muslim? If I read the Red Book, am I a communist? If in that case, as Muslims do not believe in science of evolution, than why our school science books teach about evolution?

Truth Seeker: Now that a grievous error has been committed, some kind rich souls must have been persuaded to come with an offer to compensate for the losses incurred on the impounded bibles.

This wonderland of ours is so deliciously funny. Be steadfast in your stand, bishops, clergies and consignees of the impounded Holy Books and may you be showered with blessings from the Almighty.

FellowMalaysian: 5,000 Christians should march to the Parliament with each holding a defaced Al Kitab and demand that they be replaced by the Home Ministry with new ones.
