The tide is turning against Pakatan

Don't voters of this country the ‘instant maggie mee' solution is detrimental future well-being of this country? This generation still has the chance to put things right. Let's do it now.
Ghkok: Unlike the so-called "analysts", my opinion is that the results are not important in view of the upcoming Sarawak elections and general elections (GE). The by-elections results are just the culmination of some Umno warlords' desire to protect their backs and defend their turf at all cost including using threats.
The results will just demonstrate how much fear there are - if BN had won big, it shows there is a high amount of fear among the community. If had BN won small or lost, it shows that the community has overcome their fear.
So it's the fear factor - nothing else. Interviews with dissidents in the Middle East shows that fear is a huge factor in keeping the tyrants in power for decades. Once people have found a way to drop their fear, they came out in droves to drive out the tyrants.
Fairness for all: Any ‘buy-election' where the majority of voters are uneducated Malays will surely be won by BN simply because these people are easy to buy over and have no access to Internet, hence not able to see how corrupted the BN is.
Also the fact that the BN uses taxpayers' money to buy these people make them think the BN is doing a good job and being generous to them as they do not understand how a government works and where it gets its funds from.
Hence when BN lies that they are helping them, they believe it as they only have Utusan Malaysia and RTM to rely on, and who supports the lies BN has been telling them.
Docs: Looking at these two voting constituencies which are predominantly Malay constituencies, it saddens me to see that the Malays in these areas will continue to vote BN/Umno who are still hoodwinking this society.
When Malaysia eventually goes bankrupt (that is a fact, only when is the variable), unfortunately these Malays will have to bear the brunt and hardship as a result of BN/Umno's mishandling of the economy.
When foreign powers are called to bail out Malaysia's debt, who will then run Malaysia's economy? They will obviously cut subsidies, affirmative action, funds for healthcare, economic assistance, etc, which this society is very dependent on.
Umno has made this community depend on Umno for their economic needs to ensure that they have a loyal voter bank.
Voice: These two ‘buy-elections' are an important learning process for Pakatan Rakyat before the next general elections.
If BN wins big, it means Pakatan's effort all this while was not enough. They have to double or triple their effort for the remaining times and find a way or plan to effectively counter BN's huge monetary power and oppressive propaganda.
It seems that BN propaganda has the upper hand up to this stage. Even if BN had won by a smaller margin, it means the effort by PAS or Pakatan is still not good enough and the battle is still not over yet. Learn from this process and act fast.
BN wins Merlimau, Kerdau with higher majority
Pemerhati: It looks as though anyone, whose main source of information is the monopolised mainstream media and newspapers like Utusan Malaysia, will succumb to BN's propaganda and brainwashing and believe slogans like PM Najib Razak's ‘you help me, I help you.'
These BN voters probably don't know that the country has lost a few hundred billion ringgit to corruption since Mahathir's premiership and a large proportion of that money was stolen by the top BN leaders and their cronies.
These rural people are quite content with the crumbs the BN throws at them and there is no reason for them to get angry and vote for the opposition as long as their standard of living does not deteriorate.
But the sad reality is that these simple people do not realise that by voting for BN, they are allowing BN leaders to continue to mismanage and plunder the country, which will lead to economic decline and consequently the crumbs will disappear and they would be hit badly.

Corruption is not just a BN problem, but a problem affecting all political parties. Power corrupts even greater than money, and it is quite noticeable that the little power the Pakatan parties have, they get intoxicated with it to the point that they believe the whole country owes them. Wrong buddy, the little they got, they owe the rakyat.
The next GE will tell you more about the power of the rakyat.

Pakatan has to think outside the box. The old strategy that worked in the last election is faltering. One strategy proposed by Dzulkefly Ahmad from PAS concerns election reforms. The odds are against Pakatan unless the Election Commission is reformed.
Manjit Bhatia: Let's see what Anwar Ibrahim says now about the pathetic performance of PAS and Pakatan in these ‘buy-elections'. If he offers platitudes and spin, then I have been right all along about Anwar and Pakatan. So let's see if he provides ‘analysis'.
I'm hardly surprised by the results. I just feel so sorry for all decent Malaysians who deserve real change from Umno-BN after 53 years.
