BMF to expose Taib's global empire next week

JBGUY: It is sad to see a European, who may in fact have been murdered in his attempt to protect the rights of the natives, having taken all the risks, while our PM Najib Abdul Razak and his predecessors did nothing for them, but aided and abetted Sarawak CM Abdul Taib Mahmud to plunder and dislocate native peoples from their customary land.

Where are the bumiputra NGOs that make a lot of noise on trivial issues but silent when the rights of the pribumi are trampled? Shame on these people who profess the religion of Islam, but whose god in private is the $, not Allah.

Taib's tentacles are so widespread, like a growth of cancer. He and his family are far richer than Hosni Mubarak of Egypt. Petronas, TNB to bring LNG to eastern Sabah

LHL: Replacing coal with LNG is not really "sustainable" since both are fossil fuels. In fact, coal supplies will last longer than natural gas. The difference is that coal is imported while natural gas is not.

The next question is, how will the LNG be brought from Bintulu to the east coast of Sabah? By ship? By pipeline? Where will the pipeline run? Who will build the pipeline? Will the pipeline cut through pristine rainforests in the heart of Sabah and Sarawak? It'll have to be a pretty long pipeline.

Sandakan: I remember that PM Najib Abdul Razak once said the people of Sabah have to accept the coal-powered power plant or face power cuts. For the information of the readers, power cuts are a common occurrence in Tawau, occurring at least once a week and lasting up to four hours.

ManaJus: Is energy from the LNG-powered plant better than that from a coal-powered plant? Malaysia can tap wind power energy or solar energy, if given the right direction and incentives.

Angkat kaki: Sabah CM Musa Aman and other BN leaders are only good at claiming credit, whereas it's the NGOs and opposition parties like SAPP that should be given the credit. If these leaders, the stooges of Umno, are sincerely acting for Sabahans, it wouldn't have taken five years of troubles to come to this stage. The state legislative assembly is there for them.

But they are silent because they are afraid of offending their bosses in the peninsula. They voice up only because of political reasons. Sabahans, please grow up. You've had time enough the past 47 years to be fooled.

Hired thugs threaten S'wak natives over blockade

Alan Goh: With money comes power. With power comes corruption. Hiring 100 goons to threaten the rightful owners of land in Sarawak, stealing or acquiring their land by paying pittance to the ethnic groups who are the true bumiputras and exploiting their illiteracy, is how Sarawak is looted daily by the politicians who are supposed to defend their rights.

Sarawakian_3ff9: Credit to Batu Niah police for not taking the side of the land thieves. One can imagine what would happen if the natives have no recourse except to take out their shotguns to defend themselves. Could something like this trigger an Egypt-inspired revolution?

David Yee 154a: Rakyat, please remember what Najib had said in the mainstream newspaper, that Sabah and Sarawak are their fixed deposits. Nothing will change unless the people of these states rise to demand for their fair share of equality. They must not be hooked by the freebies offered by 1Malaysia NGOs and give up their rights to stand tall. May we boot the incompetent politicians who had stayed beyond their welcome.

Democrat: Where are the Dayak, Iban warriors who used to headhunt for a living? How can they let some pariah gangsters scare the natives like this?
