Black Mamba: It's about time journalists come prepared with their rebuttals to any opinion they disagree with. They look foolish enough in not doing their homework, and can even be portrayed as idiots for trying to counter an argument for the sake of defending BN's honour. Serious journalism involves research, having an even keel on information, having the ability to weigh the pros and cons of an issue and being ever-ready for any contrarian view.

Keturunan Malaysia: This is what I called double standards and our authorities are brazenly practising it, with the skins of their faces thicker than that of an elephant hide.

Indian Ji: Umno will forever have no guts to face Hindraf the proper way. They are scared they will lose their positions in the coming general election due to Hindraf's and the Indian community's protests.

Since Umno is doing nothing for Indians and Hindraf can pinpoint its failures, we can clearly see that it is Umno cronies who ordered the arrest of Hindraf/HRP activists in order to protect their status and party.

Tiagu: Forum also cannot, huh? What else we can do? Convoy cannot, forum cannot... if this continues, the police will one day arrest Indians for just talking to each other.

Retnam: Not a word about the planned Feb 27 showdown in the Tamil newspapers. Full pages blaring about the Mydaftar programme. The first thing that should be done to get the Indians united is to close down the Tamil newspapers.

Mamak Fella: It is called Human Rights Party, but why are they all ethnic Indians only? What about the other races? If you all plan to run in the next general election, you still need votes from the other races, right? Sama macam Umno.

Docs: I'm truly glad that there is a group of Indians in the form of the HRP who are willing to stand up against the racism that Umno has inflicted on the Indian community. This is in sharp contrast with MIC, which has indicated that it is comfortable with Umno's racist policies against the Indian minority.

Kit P: Just accept ‘Interlok' and move on. I read ‘Interlok' from cover to cover over the last week, and, yes, there are sections of the book that I find objectionable. In the critical thinking subject I took years ago, the lecturer sometimes deliberately prescribed books to read, which half the students may find disagreeable - depending on your political and social outlook. It was actually meant to sharpen our skills in critical thinking and critical writing.

Admittedly, that was in a university in the West, where independent thinking is encouraged. In Malaysia, our students are trained to accept whatever the authorities say... so, yes, I do wonder about how the contents of this book will affect our school students.

Ben: Hindraf, whose members are all Indians, was formed at the end of 2007. Their hue and cry led to the March 8, 2008 general election tsunami that saw BN lose five states and the two-thirds majority it has been holding in Parliament. The rest is history.

Very soon, we hear Hindraf's rumblings and dissatisfactions that it had gained nothing in the Pakatan Rakyat-ruled states. It is now disappointed and disillusioned with Pakatan.

The people behind it then formed their own party, not only one party, but a few parties of different factions. They are not cohesive, but a pot of loose sand. They should work closely with Pakatan until the BN government is toppled.

What's happening now is that the BN is taking advantage of them with the objective of defeating Pakatan in GE13. Come on, Indians, support Pakatan whole-heartedly and you'll get what you want in the end.

Balasi: HRP, ‘Interlok' are non-issues. Please concentrate on bigger issues that serve as setbacks to your community: education, enrolment of Indians in government universities and teachers training colleges, loans for Indians in SMEs and the social problems of Indian youths, for instance. These are the bigger issues. The term pariah, you guys are churning it. You don't even know your own history, yet you fret.

Untruttabal: Keep up the good fight against racism. This is a shame to all those who claim to be anak bangsa Malaysia. Shame on the Pakatan leaders who do not condemn ‘Interlok', which is intended to plant the seeds of racism in schools.

The anti-Hindraf leaders and their cybertroopers are looking more like clowns by the day as Hindraf intensifies its campaign against racism perpetrated by Umno. The world is watching.

Anonymous_418f: We need Hindraf, for MIC guys have no guts to even face Umno. Look at the latest video clip where an Indian student is forced to say Keling Babi under threat. If Interlok is allowed in schools it will be even worse, with the Indian students being forced to be keling pariah!.. the DPM is a real dungu for insisting on the book.

Anonymous365: Anwar Ibrahim's witnesses who were allegedly with him that fateful night are certainly good friends of his, as they were briefing him on the economy and so on, in a private atmosphere.

But how come all five do not want to appear? Have they all disappeared? Just as the prosecution has holes, the defence also has holes.

DragonStar: If you name the five, Satan-dominated Umno will buy them over to kill DSAI! This is a political assassination!

417c: Unless all five were poisoned to death, their non-appearance casts a heavy shadow on Anwar's plea of innocence. I can see that the prosecution is working very hard and it is always very difficult to prove guilt in this type of case. May the truth reign.

TKC: Alibi or no alibi, Anwar does not have to prove his innocence. The prosecution has to prove his guilt, but the evidence presented by them so far is ridiculous.

Ben_403f: Anyway, the Saiful-Anwar saga is a hundred times better than Agatha Christie's novels. The ending of this saga could be anybody's guess: either it's justice done or justice denied; OR, it could be the biggest joke of the 21st century!
