Selangor MB Khalid Ibrahim confirmed today he has had talks with colleagues in the state Pakatan Rakyat over possible changes to the executive council.

Speaking to reporters in Bandar Tasek Selatan, Khalid said there have been discussions “about strengthening the Selangor state administration”.

He declined, however, to furnish details regarding those discussions and the direction of current deliberations.

“But what (we are) to do or not (do), we have not yet decided,” he said when asked to about reports that he had met with Pakatan backbenchers in the state legislative assembly to discuss an exco reshuffle.

Pressed further, Khalid said a reshuffle is in the works but it will only be announced when the move has already been made.

"We will do it, then we will announce it," said Khalid.

Khalid has reportedly been under intense pressure to reshuffle his exco line-up due to problems with certain exco members.

Khalid met with nearly all state assemblypersons at his official residence last month over the matter.

Insiders say many have voiced their concerns, but the MB has been wont to take action so as not want to rock the boat.

This the is first time that Khalid has indicated a reshuffle is incoming despite rumours of a shake-up making the rounds since earlier this year.
