Titi Serong assemblyperson Khalil Idham Lim has been summoned before the Perak legislative assembly’s rights and privileges committee, for claiming that Umno had engaged in hocus-pocus prior to the infamous power grab by BN.

“I was asked to give my statement in relation to the witch-doctor issue that I raised in the assembly on Dec 2 last year,” he said in a statement today.

NONEKhalil (right) who is also state PAS information chief said he received notification from the state assembly secretary on Feb 7 to present himself before the committee on Feb 25 at 10.30am.

“I was called in relation to a motion moved under Standing Order 36(3)(b). When debating, (I) had revealed that certain parties had brought a witch-doctor into the House prior to the events which saw speaker V Sivakumar toppled,” explained Khalil Idham.

In his allegations, Khalil had pinpointed an assemblyperson as the one who had brought the witch-doctor into the House.

“When I refused to name the assemblyperson, a motion was moved against me to be referred to the committee,” he added.

Khalil said he will hold a press conference on the issue.

“I maintain that a witch-doctor entered the Perak assembly hall prior to May 7, 2009 and (cast a spell) there,” he added.
