New Straits Times led with Selangor state secretary Khusrin Munawi stressing he was not interested in getting involved with politics regarding his appointment, but instead he is more keen on carrying out his duties as a civil servant.  
                                    
Star headlined the on-going traffic operations focussing on bus drivers carried out by the Road Transport Department for the up-coming Chinese New Year celebrations. Checks on 32 major bus terminals are being conducted and the Transport Ministry targets to reduce deaths by 10 percent over the festive period.

Berita Harian headlined that all new motor vehicles will be given a safety rating of one to five stars to allow the public to assess the safety features when buying a vehicle.

Utusan Malaysia front-paged Kuala Lumpur High Court judge Ghazali Cha’s judgment to dismiss the appeal of single mother Hau Yuan Tyng over her conviction on three counts of injuring her former Indonesian maid, Siti Hajar Sadliwho. Hau now faces 11 years’ imprisonment for all three charges.

Chinese newspapers

Sin Chew Daily, Oriental Daily News and China Press headlined Macau casino tycoon Stanley Ho accusing his family members of encroaching into his property.

Nanyang Siang Pau focused on Bank Negara's agreement that insurance agents could only ask for maximum 20% discount for vehicle spare parts from garages during indemnity, except if they could prove the cost of that spare part is much cheaper.
