Anwar ready for simultaneous elections with S'wak

He said Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), DAP and PAS had discussed preparations, including the allocation of seat, to face such an election.
"We have prepared ourselves with a media team, the seats allocation team ... but we are giving much authority to the states to hold discussions at their level," he told reporters after launching the "Keadilan Network" virtual world link-up in Kuala Lumpur.
Anwar was asked to comment on a suggestion by Sarawak Chief Minister Abdul Taib Mahmud for the Sarawak elections to be held simultaneously with the parliamentary elections.
Asked about the view of Sarawak DAP chairman Wong Ho Leng that a simultaneous election would be advantageous for the Sarawak Barisan Nasional (BN) in terms of campaigning, Anwar said he did not concur.
The PKR advisor said a simultaneous election would benefit the opposition pact because the BN's funds and machinery would not be confined to any one constituency like in a by-election.
