Felda groups thank PM for RM1.6 bil windfall

GWGF, the Combined Vision of the Felda Generation, and 12 non-governmental organisations affiliated to it thanked the prime minister today for the new allocation of RM1.6 billion for the Federal Land Development Authority.

The 12 include the Felda Settlers Association, the Felda Women Settlers Organisation, The Felda Generation Development Foundation, the Chamber of Commerce of the New Felda Generation and the Felda University Generation Organisation.
GWGF Rozali Ismail said the allocation announced by Najib Razak yesterday was important to improve the infrastructure and operations of Felda and all activities benefiting the settlers, especially the young, including in Sabah.
The allocation showed the concern of the government for the welfare of settlers in the 371 schemes throughout the country, he said in a statement.
Najib had also said RM8.5 million would be allocated to develop infrastructure for 500 lots for second generation Felda settlers.
