A Felda resident has lodged a police report claiming that secondary school students skipped their classes to participate in BN’s Tenang campaign activity where Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak was present.

Norzaidi Rahamat, 43, a resident of Felda Bukit Batu, Kulai, lodged the report yesterday morning while Najib was visiting three Felda settlements in Tenang.

“They went there to campaign in the Tenang by-election. Together with them were the Bukit Batu village chief and several committee members of Felda Bukit Batu,” read the report.

“I’m very disappointed because underage teenagers and school students are being made to be involved in the political interests of those irresponsible parties.”

‘Not given clearance’

During the press conference, Mazlan said that parents in Bukit Batu had phoned the schools and found out their children had not been given clearance from the district education department.

NONE “The parents were kept in the dark. This is blatant power abuse. We want Johor education department director Markom Giran to explain,” said Mazlan ( second from right ).

Yesterday Najib made a whirlwind trip to all three Felda settlements in the state seat - Felda Chemplak, Felda Chemplak Barat and Felda Tenang, attracting over 10,000 Felda settlers from all over Johor and Negri Sembilan.

The premier called on the settlers to consolidate their support to BN on Jan 30.
