Police visited the service centre of Sri Muda assemblyperson Shuhaimi Shafiei for the second time today and took several items of computer equipment from the premises.

Shah Alam district police chief Zahedi Ayob, who confirmed this, said the computer equipments were taken for the purpose of investigations in connection with police reports alleging the assemblyperson had posted seditious remarks about the Sultan of Selangor in his blog.

"A police team led by ASP Chong from the Shah Alam police headquarters went to the assemblyman's service centre about 1pm today.

"They took computer equipment, like a broadband router, to be analysed for purpose of the investigation," he said when contacted.

He said police were investigating the case under Section 4(1)(c) of the Sedition Act.

Police had taken several items of computer equipment from Shuhaimi's service centre when they went to the premises last Friday.

Shuhaimi is alleged to have posted the remarks on Dec 30 following the appointment of Mohamed Khusrin Munawi as the new Selangor state secretary which had not gone down well with the PKR-led government in Selangor.
