“Satim is even more incompetent than his predecessor Khir Toyo, and matches Khir only in their common lack of integrity,” said the Kinrara assemblyperson in a scathing press statement today.
Backing her claims, Kok (right) cited Satim’s “appalling” attendance record and performance at the Selangor Dewan sittings.
“He has never been an active participant in the Dun debates, revealing his apathy towards the affairs of the state government and his failure to represent the interests of his Sri Serdang constituents,” she said.
The Kinrara assemblyperson added that Satim had allegedly neglected his constituency, that is adjacent to hers, judging from “numerous complaints from his constituents that Satim is not visible on the ground” that she receives from constituents in Sri Serdang.
Kok also cited Salim’s dishonesty in making false claims that had led to her ISA detention in 2008.
The Umno rep, said Kok, had made a false statement accusing her of forbidding the azan at the Masjid Al-Ehsan, Puchong.
“His statement was completely baseless and made with malicious intent.
“His lies led to my incarceration under the Internal Security Act before I was finally released thanks to strong and vocal public uproar, including public support from the chairman of the mosque committee itself.”
Satim yesterday ticked off the Selangor government for “still protesting the appointment of Mohd Khusrin Munawi as state secretary although it was done according to state and federal laws”.
The former deputy to Khir Toyo assumed the post of opposition leader after his predecessor resigned in December last year, due to graft charges over two plots of land in Section 7 Shah Alam.
