Member of parliament for Rembau, Khairy Jamaluddin, said that whether he will contest in the coming general election is a decision involving only Najib Razak and himself.
Member of parliament for Rembau, Khairy Jamaluddin, said that whether he will contest in the coming general election is a decision involving only Najib Razak and himself.
"It's a matter between the prime minister and I," he told reporters briefly after meeting Najib at a session between the prime minister and BN MPs at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
Khairy, who is also the Umno Youth head, recently confirmed speculation that he would not be defending his Rembau Parliamentary seat in the next general election.
Earlier, Khairy, who is also the BN Youth chairman, created a stir in the Twitter when he announced his decision to take a rest from politics.
"Hope to help win more youth support for BN in 2011 & work hard preparing for elections. Then I’m taking a break from politics. Can’t wait," he said through the Twitter.
