An apparently healthy baby girl who is just a few days old was found in a suitcase at the Silk Highway near Semenyih this morning.

An apparently healthy baby girl who is just a few days old was found in a suitcase at the Silk Highway near Semenyih this morning.
Deputy Kajang OCPD Supt Azman Ayob said the baby was discovered at about 9.50am by a highway patrolman.
"He saw the black bag and was suspicious. When he came close, he heard a baby cry," Azman said.
The patrolman saw the baby with some disposable diapers in the bag, and called the police.
The baby has been sent to the Kajang hospital where doctors judged her to be three days old based on the state of her umbilical cord.
Azman said that police were trying to trace the mother of the abandoned baby, and urged anyone with information to come forward.
