Puteri Umno today launched it latest community service programme called "Barber on Wheel" which is aimed at providing salon services for needy urban folk.

Launching the service at Pangsapuri Lembah Subang near Petaling Jaya today, Puteri Umno chief Rosnah Abdul Rashid Shirlin said priority would be given to recipients of welfare aid and those living in People's housing schemes.
"Although they may be urban residents, some of them have a tough time making ends meet," she said, adding that "clients" would also be able to choose the type of haircut they preferred.
At the launch, some 200 children in the area who will be starting classes for the new school session tomorrow were given a free hair cut.
Rosnah, who is also Deputy Health Minister, said the service would also be brought to the states of Johor and Penang as well as the Federal Territories.
