Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said Sarawak had the highest number of bumiputera students enrolled in Chinese schools, numbering about 16,430, followed by Sabah (12,138) and Johor (4,917).
Muhyiddin, who is also Education Minister, said this in a written reply to a question from Teresa Kok (DAP-Seputeh).
