The crime scene investigator who probed the shooting of teenager Aminulrasyid Hamzah has admitted to the Shah Alam High Court that he made several mistakes during the course of his investigations.

NONE When cross-examined by defence counsel Salim Bashir, Chief Inspector Mazli Jusoh ( left ), the prosecution's 25th witness, admitted that he did not interview police witnesses who were at the scene of the shooting.

He also agreed he did not seize any of the firearms allegedly involved in the shooting and uniforms of the police present to detect the shooter.

To another question, Mazli said that he did not examine the three vehicles involved in the car chase before Aminulrasyid was shot.

Mazli said that he did not perform further investigations because he did not receive instructions from the investigating officer.

CSI man did not take pictures

Pressed further, Mazli said photographs of the deceased when he was still in the vehicle were not taken.

Mazli said that he only ordered the police photographer to take picture of the body after it was moved from the vehicle and place on the ground.

"It was my mistake not to ask the photographer to take pictures (of the deceased in the vehicle)," said Mazli.

He adds that he did not detail the moving of the body from the vehicle to the ground.

Mazli said he was at the scene at about 3.10am.

He was testifying during the trial of Corporal Jenain Subi, 48, who is charged with causing Aminulrasyid's death at Jalan Tarian 11/2 in Seksyen 11, between 1.10am and 2am on April 26.

The charge under Section 304(a) of the Penal Code provides for a maximum jail sentence of 30 years and a fine upon conviction.
