Who is this fellow 'Zaid'?

I wish to make a short comment in response to the article "Zaid withdraws from No 2 race, quits all posts".
Zaid Ibrahim has been in the opposition for only a few months and he's already making all sorts of complaints, much of which in my opinion, is rather vague.
At the same time, I can't help thinking of the many hundreds and thousands of people all over Malaysia, who are toiling for justice and fighting tyranny every single day for the last few weeks, months, years and decades.
People like Anwar, Kit Siang, Nik Aziz, Syed Hussein, Guan Eng, Hadi Awang, Nizar, Khalid Ibrahim, Wong Ho Leng, Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, Tony Pua, Khalid Samad, Elizabeth Wong, Sivarasa, Nik Nazmi, Hannah Yeoh, Kulasegaran, Azmin, Wan Azizah, Nurul Izzah, William Leong, Tian Chua, Mansor Othman, Teresa Kok, Baru Bian, Dr D Jeyakumar, Dr Nasir Hashim, Husam Musa, Karpal Singh, and many more.
They are joined by thousands of other individuals, NGOs, the Bar Council and many other bodies. Now, who is this fella "Zaid" ?
