I read with interest the comments on KJ John's recent article.

Before attracting Malaysian talent serving overseas to our nation, the government should do something to stop serving professionals from leaving the country.

Well qualified professionals should be on the government's talent screen.

I don't think the government does anything to stop serving professionals from leaving. Here is an excellent example.

A very well qualified paediatrician husband and wife team serving at the Likas Hospital in Sabah are leaving the country.

This couple has done sub-specialisation in their field and had volunteered to serve in Sabah because they love Sabah and even invested in a costly home recently.

And what has made them to leave Sabah?

They can't see eye to eye with the deputy head of their unit at Likas Hospital.

These two specialists have been offered very lucrative positions in a foreign country and I understand they will be leaving soon.

What a loss.

Why set up a huge organisation like Talent corp to attract Malaysians serving oversees while neglecting those already serving within our shores? What a waste!!
