The credibility of the Election Commission is being questioned after 10 voters came forward to lodge complaints on a number of irregularities found in the electoral roll.
Malaysian Citizens Election Watch (Pemantau) chief Kamar Ainiah Kamaruddin said this at a press conference yesterday. She was accompanied by the voters who had filed their complaints.

Tuah Muhamad, 50, from Kuala Lumpur, who had voted three times before, found that his name was not in the electoral list this time.
According to Sulaiman Mahiddin, 24, from Setiawangsa, his father who had passed away 16 years ago is still on the electoral roll. Nazaruddin Ibrahim, 29, from Kuala Lipis, Pahang, has also made a similar complaint.
Zaidi Ismail, 30, from Pandan Jaya also discovered that his name appeared twice. "The voting channel is different although other details are similar," he said.
According to Kamar Ainiah, multiple registrations of the armed forces have been detected in Johor, Selangor and Sarawak.
She also said that half the names in the electoral roll did not have the dates of birth recorded.
In addition, Kamar Ainiah stressed that there are cases of the same identity card numbers being used by more than one individual. Names of individuals who have never registered or are non-existent have also detected.
"The inconsistencies of the electoral roll have been forwarded to the Election Commission," she said. "The commission has insisted that the names of those who had died have been rectified, but there are still numerous complaints from the public."
