Former AG Mohtar still in coma, warded at KLH
Federal Court judge Mohtar Abdullah who has been in a coma for five months since he underwent a brain surgery, was recently readmitted to a hospital for breathing difficulties.
Mohtar, who was operated on at Subang Jaya Medical Centre in Selangor but never gained consciousness, was warded at Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) two days ago, a hospital source told malaysiakini today.
Federal Court judge Mohtar Abdullah, most remembered as the leading prosecutor in the Anwar trials, has yet to recover from a brain surgery five months ago and is now warded at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

Mohtar, who was operated on at Subang Jaya Medical Centre in Selangor but never gained consciousness, was warded at Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) two days ago, a hospital source told malaysiakini today.
Stable but no change
The source said he was occupying the VIP room on the fourth floor, under the attention of a specialist doctor.
"Although stable, his condition has not changed from before and he has yet to regain consciousness," the source added.
The former attorney-general was believed to have a blood clot in his brain when he was rushed to the Subang Jaya Medical Centre after collapsing in his home on Aug 5.
He served as AG from January 1994 to December 2000, during which he headed the prosecution in the corruption and sodomy trials of jailed ex-deputy premier Anwar Ibrahim. The trials have been slammed by international legal bodies as a miscarriage of justice.
On Jan 23 last year, Mohtar was appointed as a Federal Court judge, generating much controversy as he had been accused of being part of a political conspiracy to oust Anwar, a charge which he denied.
The 58-year-old is said to be the youngest person ever to be appointed as a judge in the highest court of the land.
