The house of Customs Officers Union of Peninsular Malaysia president, Ibrahim Ahmad, situated at Jalan 1/1, Taman Anggerik in Johor Bahru, was splashed with red paint by assailants last Saturday.

Ibrahim, 54, who is also the chairperson of the Johor Customs Officers Union of Peninsular Malaysia, said the 2pm incident was spotted by his daughter who was in the house.

"I was not in the house during the incident but was informed by my daughter that two men came in a car, stopped in front of the house and splashed the paint before speeding off," he said in Johor Bahru today.

Ibrahim said his daughter also informed him that a few minutes later, the two men returned with another packet of paint and started splashing it on the house.

He added that paint was splashed on the front door, windows and the porch. He said it was not the first time such an incident had happened to him because on June 1, his Toyota Altis car that was parked inside his house compound, was set on fire.

"I believe this was the work of people who are not happy with my duties as a customs officer and president of the union, because I have never borrowed money from loan sharks (Ah Long)," he said.

Meanwhile, Johor Bahru North police chief ACP Ruslan Hassan said the case was being investigated.
