Chua asked to prove 'Ali Baba' concept still practised

The Malaysian Malay Contractors Association wants MCA president Dr Chua Soi Lek to prove that Class F contractors are practising the 'Ali Baba' concept so that proper action can be taken against them.

Its deputy president Mohamed Fadzill Hassan also challenged Chua to show statistical evidence on bumiputera contractors who sub-contract their projects and genuine partnerships between bumiputera and Chinese entrepreneurs.

He said this at a press conference in George Town, responding to such remarks made Chua (right), who had also questioned the quota system for bumiputera companies in the New Economic Model.

Chua had touched on these subject in his speech at the National Chinese Economic Congress held in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.
