He said the state government would first find out why the staff in his office had not detected the device.
"If we find out it involved the staff in the Menteri Besar's office, then action will be taken against them.
"Right now we know nothing more and we have not made any decision on it," he said at a news conference after attending a dialogue on educational development aid for Tamil schools in Selangor today.
Abdul Khalid stumbled upon a hidden video camera in a gap between the thick curtains in his office on Tuesday.
Selangor police chief Khalid Abu Bakar has been invited to attend the state executive council meeting next Wednesday to discuss security issues in the state, said the menteri besar.
"Our probe into the hidden video camera would be handed over to the Selangor police chief at the meeting as he is the most qualified person to advise us on security issues in the state," said Abdul Khalid.
He said inspections had also been carried out in the state executive councillors' offices to detect if there were any hidden cameras in their offices.
Avoid conflict-of-interest situation
On Klang MCA Youth deputy chief Dr Ching Eu Boon's suggestion that state executive councillor Ronnie Liu should be pulled up by the Selangor Select Committee on Competency, Accountability and Transparency (Selcat) over the use of support letters issued by his office, Abdul Khalid said it was not necessary.
"I think the proposal does not have any purpose other than to add more administrative work. I think what we need to do is to tell all quarters that the use of support letters must be done prudently and for good causes.
"To those who have the authority, they must refrain from being in a conflict-of-interest situation.
"If the MCA wishes to bring up the case to Selcat, they can discuss it with the state assembly speaker (Teng Chang Khim) whether it is appropriate or not," said Abdul Khalid.
The DAP disciplinary committee sacked Klang municipal councillor Tee Boon Hock, who was Lui's special assistant, over alleged misuse of the letterhead to secure contracts for his family and cronies, from the party on July 31.
Liu, however, was only reprimanded by the committee for not managing his office professionally in accordance with public expectations.
