A murder accused told the Seremban High Court today that the order to kill four of his family members had come in written and visual forms.

In his written statement which he read himself in court, Rasidi Ismail, 32, related that two or three days before the murder of his family members, he often saw visuals of his father being lifted to the heavens.

"After seeing my father being lifted to the heavens, my mother got a shock and died. My second brother turned into stone while my younger sibling died in an accident," he said in his defence before judicial commissioner Ahmad Nafsy Yasin.

Rasidi said one day before killng them, he could not sleep as he was communicating with some writing on the wall which stated that a lot of evil and satan had emerged in Malaysia and asking him to be patient and think of God.

"The next day on Jan 5, the writing again appeared on the wall and asked me to stab my grandmother (Sufiah Katas, 80) and grandfather (Atan Daud, 87) with a knife.

"I then returned home and washed my hands and the knife. Then my father came out and the writing on the wall ordered me to slaughter my father (Ismail Awang, 76) and to take the severed head to Thailand," he said while some of his family members including his mother who were in court sobbed.

Rasidi said he was then ordered to stab his younger sister (Siti Khadijah). Four members of his family died in the incident which occurred between 7am and 11am on Jan 5 in Kampung Batang Rokan, Gemencheh.

He said he fled to Tampin and then to Kuala Lumpur where he spent the night at a cheap hotel.

"That night I was judged by God on the murder I had committed and was punished with beheading," Rasidi said.

Isolating himself in a drain

He said the next day after burying his father's severed head, he went to Pudu Prison to face the sentence as "ordered", but the prison was closed and he then went to the court near Dataran Merdeka but the court had moved.

In today's hearing, two important witnesses were called to give their testimony - Rasidi's former employer Azhar Johari, the managing director of a construction company in Shah Alam which the accused had worked for from September 2008 to May 2009, and Rasidi's former fiancee Mysara Mohd Ali.

During questioning by defence counsel Hanif Hassan, Azhar said Rasidi was acting strange after a few months where he often spoke to himself and liked to isolate himself in a drain.

He said Rasidi would happily eat and drink while he was giving a briefing, something which the other workers did not dare do.

Mysara said that after committing the murder, Rasidi contacted her to say that his mother, father, abang ngah (elder brother) and younger brother had died.

She said she disputed the number (killed) but Rasidi told her that he was telling the truth as he was the Rasulullah (Messenger of God) before he hung up.

The hearing will continue on Sept 1 for the last witness, a psychiatrist who had given the acccused treatment, to give evidence.

Rasidi is being charged with murdering his grandparents, father and younger sister under Section 302 of the Penal Code which carries the mandatory death sentence.

The prosecution was conducted by deputy public prosecutor Wan Shaharuddin Wan Ladin.
