The Home Ministry had issued a warning letter over a controversial short story entitled 'Politik Baru YB J' which was published in Utusan Malaysia's weekend publication Mingguan Malaysia in its Oct 12, 2008 issue.

On Dec 12 2008, she filed a RM30 million defamation suit against the daily and the author of the article Chamil Wariya, who is also Malaysian Press Institute (MPI) executive officer, over the publication of the story.

In his written reply to a question from P Ramasamy (DAP-Batu Kawan) in Parliament today, Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said the short story breached the ministry's publication guidelines and could affect public order and disrupt racial harmony.
