Ahmad Ismail's Bukit Bendera bid delayed again

He does not dare to risk losing their support by remaining quiet about Ahmad Ismail impending return as Bukit Bendera Umno chief.

'New' PKR organ hits stands

Habib RAK: Ha, ha, ha, very smart indeed. The Home Ministry does not renew the permit for Suara Keadilan and PKR gets creative to print a one-off Keadilan. This is creativity par excellence.

Malaysians Are Not Stupid: Hishammuddin Hussein talks about respecting the law of the country. But when has the BN government respected the laws they themselves formulated? They are the greatest violators of the laws of the land.

Gerard Samuel Vijayan: PKR has every right to challenge the law and print an alternative publication. That is the essence of civil disobedience in the face of tyranny and oppression. The freedom fighters of the past did not accept and tolerate such laws and today they are revered.

Why should Malaysians sit back and allow a vile and ruthless regime that is only concerned with self-preservation to continue to weaken, undermine and destroy our fundamental liberties and human rights to the point that the constitutional right to freedom of expression has become illusory and ineffective?

Change does not only happen at general elections, the people should be motivated to demand that their fundamental rights be respected, protected and defended when these are under threat, especially from a dictatorship disguised as a democracy.

Louis: When you did not act fairly, you lose all respect. Respect has to be earned. Perkasa published inflammatory articles, which are far worse than Suara Keadilan, and Hishammuddin chose to single out the latter as the guilty one, while Perkasa was let off with just a slap on the wrist.

The leaders in our country never seem to grow up, while the ordinary rakyat have matured. Thus they still think that the rakyat are fools and do not have minds of their own. It is the other way round. Just imagine the kind ridiculous things that the government does - like setting up a panel to counter lies. Lies need not be countered. It will sooner or later be exposed by itself. Truth will prevail eventually.

Not Confused: As a foreigner, it is clear to me that it is time that the PPPA (Printing Presses and Publications Act) be repealed. It is anti-democratic and being used by the ruling dictatorship/junta to try to subjugate any opposition. This is clear to everyone.

How the ideologically and intellectually bankrupt home minister can expect to get the respect of the rakyat is beyond me, when he (supported by the rest of the BN) uses this outdated and clearly unjust law for their own nefarious ends.


Upko has 'proof' of Sabah illegals with MyKads

Voice: It's possible that when these MyKads were issued to the illegal immigrants there was a condition attached: ie, these illegal immigrants have to vote for BN in the election. If they vote for the opposition, their MyKads would be revoked. It's not difficult for the government or Election Commission to find out who they voted for.

It seem that BN or Umno is not as strong as we thought because they need to rely on all these dirty tricks, such as illegal immigrants, postal votes, phantom voters, vote buying, etc, in order to win.

1malaysia: Good try (Upko deputy president Wilfred) Bamburing! You will raise the issue and then Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein will reply that they have investigated and there is no such thing.

Don't waste time to put up the show. Your countrymen is smart enough see through this - that this is part of an Umno game plan in Sabah. If you are so convinced and have evidence, you will not be with them. It is obvious why you still stay on.

New Malay: If you go to any town in Sabah, take a stone and blindly toss it in the air. It'll surely fall and hit a Filipino or an Indonesian ‘Sabahan'. That is how serious the issue of illegal immigrants is in Sabah.

I have seen during the last few general elections, mini-buses ferrying these ‘Sabahans' from one voting centre to another and proudly waving and showing off their blue IC/MyKads as if they were really Sabahans. Locals could only look on. Even with this openly-committed crime, no one can do anything.

Please Sabahans, wake up and reclaim your rights. Should you give another term to BN, all of you will lose your right to your land below the wind. It will become the ‘land below the BN'.

Pure Malaysian: This is nothing new. Former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad created all these ‘voters' so that BN could remain in power. Hopefully this time, all this will come to an end.
