'MPs have no business interfering in state affairs'

Anonymous: I don't see Azmin Ali as being another frog. He is performing well as a member of the Select Committee on Competency, Accountability and Transparency (Selcat) panel. The differences are more of personality. If Azmin Ali is another frog, then potentially, many in PKR are frogs, and this party cannot go far.

Ng Seng Tong: Yes, there are differences in every political party, just like in every family. But what is not acceptable is the manner in which PKR federal lawmakers go about "managing" it. Their ways smack of self-centreness; gunning for positions for self-gain at all costs without taking into consideration the reasons the rakyat voted them in as MPs in the first place.

Anyway, the MPs have no business interfering in state affairs. They are federal lawmakers. The ‘G15' must be held accountable for their behaviour. Anwar Ibrahim, please take note: Enough of such nonsense from Azmin.

Do these MPs consider the opinions of DAP and PAS voters in Selangor? PKR does not rule Selangor. Pakatan Rakyat does.

Tell the Truth: Here's a notice to all self-seeking MPs: watch out, because if you misbehave, you will be out of Parliament. The rakyat can no longer tolerate ‘frog' MPs, and if you even display a hint of being a frog, you will be out.

SKS: I think it's time Azmin leaves PKR. He is becoming a stumbling block to PKR's reform movement. It's either he remove his Umno mindset, or he leaves. Anybody else who wants to leave may do so. PKR needs to prepare for the 13^th general elections. They can't continue to waste their time trying to please everybody in the party.

DRMS: Azmin, are you seriously hoping to be Selangor MB? You better forget it. You are no MB material. You must learn to change your ways.

Khalid Ibrahim is much superior to you in every way. He is a great businessman, a better leader and he is a man who feels for the people. Who is it who introduced free 1,000 litres of water for the people of Selangor?

Terus: In order to get things done in a transparent, clear, truthful and honest way, one has to be tough and difficult at times. If not, those self-centred, egoistic and ‘private agenda' representatives will try to do everything to damage any new policies that are not in their favour.

That's why Umno and BN are losing support. Azmin and company should be more supportive rather than succumb to Umno ways.

Arul Inthirarajah: It appears that Azmin cannot let go of Umno-style politicking. We don't need that in PKR, nor in Pakatan. The enemy is BN and Umno. Is that so easy to forget when personal ambition comes in the way? One should behave the way voters expect you to behave, otherwise, the door is always open.

Malaysian Overseas: If Pakatan wants to keep Selangor and the rest of Pakatan-governed states, I suggest they stop backstabbing Khalid. You go no where by removing him. I personally think Khalid has done a tremendous job. At least, he has proven his management skills.

Has Azmin proved anything apart from trying to hijack the Selangor MB post all this while? Azmin should be more patient and wait for his turn. If the post is meant to be his, he will get it later. If Selangor falls into BN's hand next general election, all of Azmin's dream will be shattered as well. Work together, don't fight and kill each other.

You were elected to be a leader, not a back-stabber. If you can not handle it, move aside and let other people to do the job. What a waste of people's votes.

PKR crisis not zero-sum game

Jiminy Qrikert: Khalid Ibrahim has had only two years of exposure and experience at the helm, so it would be good to cut him some slack. Even the PM of a country has a window of a maximum of five years before he goes back to the people for a re-election.

On the corporate front, a three-year window is quite normal for a CEO before the board reviews his performance. I for one am quite happy he is not a well-polished politician. Just like Idris Jala, what you get is what you see. It is a good balance to Anwar Ibrahim, the consummate politician Umno is trying their darnest to destroy.

PKR needs this balance as it is potentially riddled with frogs and Umno sleepers.

Middle: PKR is a full-fledged political party. All party appointees in whatever position have to adhere to this entity - the political awareness of its membership and their specific aspirations, above anything else. These aspirations must be quite inevitably different from other parties.

Pakatan is not a party, but a loose post-election coalition. Its political cohesion is only at the leadership level through leadership interfacing, and has not trickled down. Some issues have been conveniently skirted. To expect the PKR membership to suddenly conform to expectations of DAP and PAS at this juncture is asking too much.

They may have issues that have been neglected by their troubled leader and they are sorting that out. But not without their leader riding roughshod over tough issues. To simplistically brand them as Umno leftovers is a reflection of the naivete of their new-found friends. DAP and PAS without PKR? Touche!

Azmin denies conspiracy to oust Khalid

Anonymous2: Azmin Ali is a creation of Anwar just as Ibrahim Ali is a creation of Mahathir Mohamad. The difference is, Mahathir knew what he was doing, rightly or wrongly. With Anwar it is by default, as result of a character flaw.

Malays are beginning to realise this now, just as non-Malays suddenly see the opportunity to exploit a desperate man to legitimise what is essentially an old ‘Malaysian Malaysia' rhetoric. Hence, Anwar suddenly becomes their poster-boy in spite of lingering suspicion of the closeted racist in him.

CKS: Azmin Ali, that you decided to resign your PKNS directorship at this unsettling time with an excuse so atypical of your style paints a clearer picture than the thousand words of denial you uttered.
