Jibes for Zahrain on 'nice house, new car'

“Congratulations on your nice house and new car,” said Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim (PKR-Permatang Pauh) with a smirk during the debate on the 10th Malaysia Plan today.
Anwar’s remarks provoked shouts from the Pakatan bench accusing Zahrain of pocketing RM2 million and a new bungalow for defecting on Feb 12. 
His tirade against Zahrain (left) was prompted by the latter’s interruption during the former’s speech.
Zahrain stood up to accuse Anwar of lying, citing the botched Sept 16 takeover of the federal government by Pakatan. He also demanded proof of Anwar’s widely reported claims that certain independent MPs were paid to defect.
To this, Anwar again played it coy and said he will only reveal details “when the time is right”, before continuing his speech.
Challenge reiterated
Zahrain later reiterated his challenge to Anwar for proof, at a press conference at the Parliament lobby.
“I challenge Anwar to provide evidence. If he does not have the proof, he should shut up and stop talking,” he said.
He said that Anwar was making all these baseless claims similar to when he claimed that Pakatan Rakyat will take over the government on Sept 16, two years ago.
“If he cannot produce the evidence, he is not qualified to be the opposition leader and an MP,” he added, urging Anwar to stop all these malicious lies.
Also present were controversial Wangsa Maju MP Wee Choo Keong, Bagan Serai MP Mohsein Samsuri and Kulim Bandar Baru MP Zulkifli Noordin.
