Titiwangsa MP Dr Lo' Lo' Ghazali today lodged a police report, urging investigations into the relationship between the government and public relations firm Apco Worldwide.

Referring to Apco's alleged links to Israel, she claimed that the relationship is worrying because it may cause information leaks to foreign countries.

NONE The police report was lodged at 11am this morning at the Dang Wangi police station in Kuala Lumpur.

In the report, the PAS parliamentarian said that she believed that Apco is linked with Israel as the company board of director consists of "prominent Israeli personalities".

"The Israeli members of the board of directors will surely reveal our national secrets to foreign parties," she said in the report.

As evidence, she included an agreement between Apco and the Israeli government in 1991.

Also included was a copy of the agreement between the company and the Malaysian government, along with a letter of acceptance issued by the Prime Minister's Department dated July 15 last year.

This is the second police report made against Apco. The first was made by PKR youth chief Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akim on Tuesday.

Investigate Najib and Khairy

khairy jamaluddin kj interview 190310 Shamsul had asked the police to also investigate Najib and Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin whom he alleged have interests within Apco or people close to the firm.

When asked about this recently, Khairy (right) fell short of denying the claims, instead saying that Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim too had links to Apco officials.

In a related development, it is believed that Apco's contract with the government will not be renewed when it ends on Aug 4.

The reason is said to be the bad press which the company is attracting, making the relationship a liability for the government.
