Hutchison to tie-up with Time dotCom
Cellular operator Time dotCom will sign a bilateral service agreement with Hutchison Global Communications to offer voice, data and multimedia services to multinational corporations in the country, officials said today.
"The agreement will enable Time dotCOm to bring in voice and data traffic from rest of the world and vice-versa," a Time official told AFP on condition of annonymity.
The agreement would be inked here Wednesday. Time would be Hutchison's first business partner in the country.
At the present state-owned communications giant Telekom Malaysia dominates the industry.
"The tie-up with Hutchison will definately enable Time to break into Telekom's share of the market and provide needed technology," the official said.
The official declined to comment how much Time would pay for the services. AFP
