BN 'stole' ideas from our economic agenda: Anwar

Tkc: This is one of the oldest trick in the book: borrow your competitor's idea, use the same key words, make it your own, and if you maintain your leadership position long enough, people will eventually equate that idea as yours.

The big question is: do you have the political will to follow through? Based on BN's track record so far, I rather doubt it.

Ghkok: Well, Anwar Ibrahim spoke the truth. The Malaysian Economic Agenda was crafted by Anwar and Abdul Khalid Ibrahim. I read the document months before the last general election. I can distinctly remember that "needs-based affirmative action" is definitely one of the highlights of that document.

Well, BN did steal the idea, but the people of Malaysia know, and want, the original thing. They will continue to drift towards Pakatan. The people can see the genuine stuff.

Arif Shazman: Ideas are a public good, regardless of who introduces it. If there's significant gains for the ultimate beneficiaries (the rakyat), then who cares? Execution is key. I've seriously had enough of Anwar Ibrahim's theatrics. All that ever comes out from his mouth is "You lie!" in one form or another. Surely, there's more to a man beyond finger-pointing.

Wira: Anwar, imitation is the best form of flattery. Never mind if the government stole some of your idea. It simply means you were promoting an agenda which was economically and politically sound.

You need to come out with more ideas for them to copy. It simply shows you are better than them.


Zambry: Pakatan 'wooed' me with MB post

Disgusted: Zambry Abd Kadir says: "Don't think that I'm in politics just to be menteri besar. I am not willing to sacrifice my principles, but thanks for the ‘lamaran' (offer)."

He is hanging on as a usurper MB via a coup d'etat created by PM Najib Abdul Razak and assisted by the Perak sultan. Who would believe what he says. BN is constantly tempting Pakatan MPs and state lawmakers with money and positions to switch to the corrupt BN government.

How does he think he can claim to be MB seat is rightfully his? Why should whoever he claims to be the Pakatan leader who invited him and offered the seat when Pakatan had other Malays to consider?

It seems to be a trend nowadays for BN MPs and state assemblypersons to come out and claim that they have been offered by Pakatan to jump ship and promised positions and money, which Pakatan has neither.

Many who joined Pakatan after election such as Zaid Ibrahim, Dr Tan Kwee Kwong and Chua Jui Meng did not get any of such.

Kgen: Zambry, I'll sooner believe pigs can fly than believe your ridiculous story. Who were you to say that Pakatan wanted you to be MB? You telling me they looked for an Umno man for the top post? This has totally no credibility at all.

P Dev Anand Pillai: This is the same guy who said that his principles are in comparisan to Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela.

The bottom line is, whether it is BN or Pakatan, the anti-hopping law must be passed soon or else we will have this bunch of jerks taking us voters for a ride with their so-called "principles". The coalition that successfully makes this legislation a reality will be the one that has the last laugh.

Chipmunk: So BN offered you higher wages and better perks, right? You and all the frogs are the same. After two years you come up with a fairy tale. Why didn't you mention when you were first given the appointment as MB? Why, after all this time?

It's so convenient, too, for you to say that the two gifts were ‘slipped' into your house. When a man says, "No," he should stand his ground. In other words, you were offered a bribe and you fell for it. The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission should investigate this.

Perak assembly turned into 'animal pen'

2nd Class 1Malaysian: Zambry should just call for fresh elections. Having seven bodyguards for R Ganesan is waste of money. I still am of the opinion that Ganesan was not elected as speaker and that they have not followed procedures during the first assembly after the power grab. If BN wanted to grab power, it should have planned and executed it well.

Zambry, we will wait for the next general election and get rid of you and all the three frogs for good. I know that you live everyday knowing that you were not elected by the people and that your post was given to you in a very unethical and unprincipled manner.

Artchan: Who is responsible for this ‘animal pen'? Ask the learned Perak sultan, the judiciary, the prime minister and the three frogs. Despite the claims of having the people's support, Zambry's illegal government dare not call for election.
