There's an air of suspense, fear, suspicion and mistrust between BN and Pakatan over the state assembly sitting scheduled for tomorrow.

Both sides of the divide say that they are prepared for any eventuality.

But BN with the help of police personal and their own security team, has the upper-hand when it comes to control of the assembly.

However, there is a fear of a repeat of the May 7 2009 incident whereby the Perak Regent Raja Nazrin Shah had to wait for nearly about five hours in his Royal chambers for  BN to take control of the assembly.

So BN is has beefed up their security and police personnel to ensure a smooth transaction of the House, which Raja Nazrin will attend.

Questions and more questions

Just days before the assembly sitting, Pakatan called for a five-day assembly sitting to ensure that all their 216 questions are answered to the opposition's satisfaction.

NONEHowever, on Saturday, Menteri Besar Zambry Abdul Kadir (right) poured cold water over their requests, stating that no pre-conditions should be set by Pakatan.

He was joined by BN elected speaker R Ganesan who said that Pakatan being a minority in the House must not set conditions but follow BN which holds command of the House.

He also shot down the idea of a five-day sitting and also stated that only the questions of the seven Pakatan elected representativies, who had submitted questions directly to him by email, will be answered.

Also both the BN leaders turned down Pakatan's powwow talks scheduled at the Ipoh Towan Hall this morning to iron out differences in opinions between the two political rivals.

The political feud between the two menteri besars has been officially settled with Federal Court's ruling Zambry is the legitimate head of the state.

But the tussle between Pakatan speaker V Sivakumar and Ganesan is still simmering.

A furious Sivakumar said that all their 216 questions must be answered by the House tomorrow as he has receipt of the documents acknowledged by the state assembly secretary.

He said that the Pakatan side had fulfilled their roles according to the law.

 Fear of arrest

There was fear in the Pakatan camp that the police might arrest Sivakumar today when he went for a police inquiry at the State Commercial Crime Headquarters.

But he was free to go after 90 minutes of questioning by two police officers.

NONEThe police are investigating the three police reports lodged against Sivakumar (left) for allegedly impersonating the speaker and using the speaker's letterhead to send out letters on the assembly sitting to the 58 elected representatives.

Another question that is looming in the opposition camp is why specific times and the usage of lifts and staircases have been given to the Pakatan side.

Their fear is that police personnel may prevent or delay their entry into the state assembly sitting tomorrow. They faced this problem at the last sitting.

Also, there is fear that the security forces may arrest Sivakumar to prevent him from causing trouble in the House.

There is calm at the state secretariat today but security measures are no doubt underway for the possible political storm tomorrow.
