And what riles him most is this is being done during the festive seasons when forgiveness and forgetting the past should be the theme.
He pointed out that the various festivals are celebrated in the country to strengthen unity among all races under Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's the 1Malaysia concept.
"The whole idea of holding festival functions by politicians is to forgive and forget the past and start a new chapter for the well being of the public.
"However, Pakatan leaders are using this platform to incite racial hatred which will only sow the seeds of disunity among the various races," Zambry said.
"I know what they are saying at such gatherings and I can also do the same thing but I shall not as there will be no difference between them and me," he added.
According to Zambry, the BN's objective has been always to foster unity among the various races and through this unity "we respect and tolerate each other".
Thumbs down politics of hatred
"We do not want the various races to hate each other and there is no place for politics of hatred either in Perak or in the country," he said.
He was speaking at a people's gathering organised by the Taiping BN and Umno in conjunction with the celebration of Prophet Mohammad's birthday and Chinese New year in Taiping today.
About 600 people turned up for the function attended by some BN district leaders and Gerakan state chief Chang Ko Youn, who is also Taiping BN coordinator chief.
Zambry said taking care of the people's welfare has always been his top priority and does not differentiate between voters from BN and Pakatan held areas as all are Perakians to him.
His anger was provoked when Pakatan leaders imposed pre- conditions for working with BN for the benefit of Perakians.
"I am always open to the idea of help but do not put any pre-conditions and if they do not want to cooperate than I shall do it my way," he said.
During his speech, Zambry announced an allocation of RM3.5 million for immediate flood mitigation programmes for the Taiping area.
