Ramasamy leaps to Lim's defence

Penang Deputy Chief Minister P Ramasamy has blasted Bayan Baru MP, Zahrain Hashim, for his personal attacks on the chief minister, saying he could not imagine that the PKR politician would stoop so low.
Penang Deputy Chief Minister P Ramasamy has blasted Bayan Baru MP, Zahrain Hashim, for his personal attacks on the Chief Minister, saying he could not imagine that the PKR politician would stoop so low.
Ramasamy said the DAP respects its partners PKR and PAS. However, he said such attacks on Lim Guan Eng, who is the chief minister, was truly uncalled for.
"Whatever grouses he had should have been resolved within the framework of Pakatan," he said.
"There are avenues which Zahrain could have gone through, rather than using the media. This would certainly affect the fragile Pakatan Rakyat coalition.
"If you want to leave your party go ahead. But, do not try to find scapegoats. Calling Lim a chauvinist and lacking in understanding was certainly improper, and not a positive sign of being able to work together within the Pakatan framework."

claimed Zahrain had not brought up such issues with the DAP or any of the Pakatan Rakyat meetings and he was surprised at the salvo.
He said he had known Zahrain for quite some time and was surprised with the outburst.
Ramasamy said he would leave it up to the PKR leadership to decide whether to take action on Zahrain.
But following the outburst of Kulim Baru MP Zulkifli Nordin on PAS Shah Alam MP, Khalid Samad, people are beginning to question PKR's ability to discipline its own members.
