I refer to the Malaysiakini report '9/11, mission impossible for poor-at-planning Arabs'.

Indeed, it's sad to revisit the true stories of Sept 11 in New York. I'm also disappointed that Dr Mahathir Mohamad our prime minister once upon a time could debunk all those true reports on the WTC collapse which killed several thousands excluding those who died in the air.

It was easier to make a head count on those plane victims.But those killed in the two towers and on the ground couldn't be exactly quantified. Again there was the economic and social cost from the disaster.

I was in New York with my hubby and son last August.We met an ex-fireman, an American-Irish, who was one of the rescuers in the fire-fighting team that went up to rescue several hundreds that fateful day.

He had lost his normal voice which is now hoarse through inhaling so much toxic gas and fumes that day while fighting the fires that erupted. He saw and lived through the horrors of Sept 11. He said it was an 'attack on the world'. That guy is now a captain in New York ferrying tourists around Liberty Island.
 
I find revisitng the Sept 11 account very mind-boggling and heartrending.Why must these Al-Qaeda militants do such things on innocent lives who had not harmed them at all?
