Negeri MB 'flogged' in public

A group of discontented youngsters calling themselves Solidariti Anak Muda Malaysia (SAMM), 'whipped' Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Mohd Hasan in public in Seremban yesterday.
Secret transfers of funds abroad, authorities's silence on the issue get the PKR goat, so the MB gets a whacking.
A group of discontented youngsters calling themselves Solidariti Anak Muda Malaysia (SAMM), 'whipped' Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Mohd Hasan in public in Seremban yesterday.
Led by its coordinator Badrul Hisham Shaharin, they carried out the deed in front of the PKR state headquarters.
Badrul Hisham, popularly known as Chegu Bard, blasted the authorities for their inaction over reports that Mohd Hasan had allegedly transferred RM10 million to London on 2008.
According to Badrul Hisham, who delivered a speech before the 'whipping' session, he wrote to the menteri besar on Nov 16 ,2008, demanding that he clarify the allegations, but he failed to do so.
"On Dec 3, 2008, I lodged a report with Commercial Crimes Division in Bukit Aman police headquarters, and I contacted them three times to get a response to my earlier reports but until today the police have failed to give any information on the progress of their investigation," he said.
He added that they were very upset with the authorities for their lack of action and in the name of "people's court we declare Mohd Hasan a traitor and punish him by whipping him publicly," he said.
Badrul Hisham, also a PKR supreme council member, explained that the lashing was a symbolic way of expressing the anger of young Malaysian citizens.

The trend of transferring big amounts of money abroad can jeorpadise the stability of our nation's economy, he said.
He alleged that even the wife of prime minister, Rosmah Mansor, had reportedly been involved in transferring RM600,000 to Dubai believed to be for her shopping expenses there.
"The rakyat here is struggling to meet their basic needs amidst the rising cost of living, yet these so-called leaders live a life of luxury and behave irresponsibly.
"This is our warning to the judicial system and we hope this dummy whipping does not turn into reality," warned Badrul Hisham.
Earlier Paroi state assemblyman Mohd Taufek Abdul Ghani in his speech told the crowd that the Negeri Sembilan PAS had submitted a memorandum to the state branch of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on the alleged transfer funds to London by Mohd Hasan.
"We submitted the memorandum to Negeri Sembilan MACC on Dec 7, 2008 but until today they are keeping mum about it.
"We, Pakatan Rakyat, also queried Mohd Hasan during the recent State Assembly session, but he refused to answer and clear his name on the alleged report," said Mohd Taufek, who is also a PAS central committee member.
Later Badrul Hisham 'whipped' the Mohd Hasan dummy five times before a crowd of 70, kept under surveillance by a big contingent of police officers and members of the Light Strike Force.
A few other state PKR leaders had their turn at the Mohd Hasan mock up.
There was a traffic jam along the Seremban - Tampin road facing the PKR building, as motorists stopped or slowed down to catch a glimpse of the political event of the day.
Also present were state PKR Youth deputy chief Norazizi Abdul Aziz and Parti Sosialis Malaysia, Seremban branch chairman, S Sivamani.
