The Teoh Beng Hock inquest has been postponed again for the second time as the pathologists' reports are not ready yet.

The inquest was originally supposed to resume on Dec 9 but was postponed to tomorrow for the same reason. The reports were due after a second post-mortem was conducted last month.

NONE Lawyer Gobind Singh, acting for Teoh's family, however informed the media today that the inquest had to be adjourned again as the reports were not handed in to the coroner.

No new date has been fixed for the continuation of the inquest.

Teoh, 30, was found dead on the fifth floor corridor of Plaza Masalam in Shah Alam on July 16 after being questioned overnight at the Selangor MACC office, located on the 14th floor of the building.

Teoh, the political secretary to Selangor exco member Ean Yong Hian Wah, had been summoned for questioning over alleged irregularities in the disbursement of state funds by his employer.

NONE During the inquest, renowned Thai forensics specialist Dr Pornthip Rojansunand had testified that the more likely cause of death was homicide, rather than suicide as indicated by the MACC.

Teoh's body was exhumed on Nov 21 after the coroner ordered a second post-mortem, which was carried out the next day by Sungai Buloh Hospital Pathology and Forensics Department chief Dr Shahidan Md Noor.

Pornthip (engaged by the Selangor government), British forensic pathologist Prof Peter Vanezis (appointed by the MACC), and local pathologists Dr Khairul Azman Ibrahim and Dr Prashant Naresh Samberkar were allowed to observe the process.
