Port Klang assemblyperson, Badrul Hisham Abdullah has resigned from Pakatan Rakyat yesterday.

A few Umno leaders have responded to Malaysiakini on Badrul's resignation.

I agree with Badrul's move not to resign and become an independent because if he were to resign, another by-election will be costly.

NONEAlso, he can prove to Khalid Ibrahim, (Selangor's menteri besar) that he is able to serve the community and take it as a challenge to improve himself.

I think that the Pakatan government is trying to force Badrul to resign so they can replace him with another PKR member, because Badrul is not a strong Anwar supporter.

I am not at a liberty to say if we have met prior to his resignation with PKR, and BN did not promise him anything.

But BN will assist and support him and provide the allocations for Badrul to serve his community and if he wants to rejoin UMNO, we are open to accept his membership.

However, I think that Khalid is unethical to call for Badrul's resignation. Instead, he should help Badrul if he thinks that he is not performing well.

I only found out about this in the news and I have had no contact with Badrul since he left UMNO ten years ago.

But we in BN will support and assist Badrul in his work to serve the community. I think he made a right move because being an independent, he can help the rakyat of all race.

I think he resigned from PKR because his democratic rights were being usurped since he seems to be just following the orders of the leadership rather than acting on his own prerogative.

Badrul became an independent because he has lost trust in the Pakatan Selangor government and it seems to be the early signs of the breakdown of Selangor's government.

NONEI have been told that there are more MPs who are unhappy and have lost their confidence in the Selangor government, but they are not brave enough to come out yet.

Badrul Hisham (left) is a brave man.

There are two service centres in Port Klang now and one of them reports directly to the MB.

How can Badrul fulfill his promise and serve the community when the MB does not trust him?

How can the MB not trust his own MP?

I think that his timing was right and it is a smart decision.

I hope that more unhappy MPs will be brave enough to step up and come out too.

I have the confidence that Badrul will be more efficient with BN.

I was surprised when I heard the news of Badrul's resignation in PKR. It is good that he realised that Pakatan is not a good (coalition).

This just goes to show that the Pakatan coalition is weakening and a lot of them will be ‘running out'.

There seems to be a lot of problems in the party that they have been trying to cover.

Pakatan is not like BN, none of the BN MPs have left the party. This shows that BN is very strong and our members are committed.

Even a Pakatan exco has left the party, much more those MP who have no positions.
