New Straits Times Press to be privatised?

The trading of Media Prima Bhd and The New Straits Times Press (Malaysia) Bhd (NSTP) shares on Bursa Malaysia will be suspended tomorrow.
The trading of Media Prima Bhd and The New Straits Times Press (Malaysia) Bhd (NSTP) shares on Bursa Malaysia will be suspended tomorrow.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, Media Prima said it would be "making a very material announcement of a corporate exercise involving Media Prima and NSTP".
NSTP is Media Prima's 43.29 percent owned associate company.
The request for suspension was granted by the stock exchange.
There have been reports that Media Prima was keen to privatise NSTP.
Media Prima ended today's trading session flat at RM1.77 while NSTP went down five sen to RM2.46.
