PAS spiritual leader Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat said today he viewed negatively those who were resorting to provocation and violence in campaigning for the Bagan Pinang by-election.

Without naming the party responsible, he said such actions were not only against Islam but also the democratic process.

NONE"Only people who have no confidence in themselves resort to this, it is no different from committing corruption. It's not only Umno or PAS, since the time of Prophet Abraham, there have been people like this," he told reporters when met the Aidilfitri open house of Kelantan Deputy Menteri Besar Ahmad Yakob, in Kampung Alor Pasir, Tumpat today.

He was commenting on an alleged incident in Bagan Pinang where it was said a PAS party worker was assaulted by some people.

Mohd Isa Abdul Samad, who is former Negeri Sembilan menteri besar, is pitted against PAS state commissioner Zulkefly Mohamad Omar in the by-election tomorrow.
