Liong Sik fractures arm after fall

Former MCA president Dr Ling Liong Sik fractured his right arm after a fall in his house at midnight last night.

"I thought there was nothing to it but then I felt pain in my arm. The doctor said that although my arm is fractured, it will heal in a couple of weeks," Ling said when met at the Assunta Hospital here this afternoon.

The former transport minister was accompanied by wife Ena Ling.

Ling said that his condition was not serious.

He also declined to comment on tomorrow's MCA extraordinary general meeting.

To a question, Ling refuted rumours that he had called a news conference yesterday purportedly to make an important announcement.
